About the position

The Mid-Level Full Stack React/Node.js Developer position at Dev Technology involves participating in Agile software development for systems that support federal government missions. The role encompasses the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to coding and testing, while also addressing existing code issues and collaborating with team members to ensure client satisfaction. The developer will also have opportunities to learn new technologies and skills on the job.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile software development for mission-critical systems.
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to coding and testing.
• Research issues in existing code and propose solutions.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and communicate status, including issues and risks, to the team.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve problems and meet client needs.
• Learn new technologies and skills as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years of professional experience as a full-stack application developer.
• Experience with React UI or related UI frameworks (e.g., Angular).
• Experience with AWS Cloud Tools (AWS Lambda, EventBridge).
• Proficiency in Node.js.
• Ability to understand complex business processes and their relation to supporting systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Knowledge of Java and JavaScript (preferred).
• Experience with AWS Lambda (preferred).
• Familiarity with SPA concepts and libraries (preferred).
• Experience with agile and DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, Junit) (preferred).
• Experience in writing SQL and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB) (highly preferred).
• ICE cleared (preferred).
• USCIS, CBP, or Top Secret clearance (preferred).
• Any other DHS or government clearance (preferred).
