About the position

This position offers an opportunity to work on a multi-discipline engineering team focused on improving instrumentation and controls in nuclear power plants. The role involves integrating electrical and mechanical engineering with control theory to enhance plant functionality. Responsibilities include preparing specifications for equipment procurement and conducting engineering calculations for plant upgrades. The position also includes mentoring and training opportunities to develop engineering skills, along with travel to client and vendor sites for project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Work on multi-discipline engineering teams for nuclear power plant projects.
• Integrate electrical and mechanical engineering with control theory.
• Prepare specifications for instrumentation and controls equipment procurement.
• Conduct engineering calculations for plant upgrades and modifications.
• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and project coordination.
• Field verification of designs at plant site locations.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering for nuclear power plant control systems.
• Strong academic background with coursework in analog and digital control systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Coursework in mechatronics is desired but not required.
