An Insight Global client in the Financial Services industry is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. The client is looking for a Software Engineer who is proficient in Kotlin or Java and has a basic knowledge of GCP and Google's big data technologies. Responsibilities will center around the current challenges in the client's business, which include the scale of data where every customer and transaction are eligible for Anti-Money Laundering investigations, the breadth of product and jurisdiction as money laundering is a global issue with local regulations, and technology fragmentation where existing processes are split over many platforms. The client is going to build a new Financial Crimes Platform to bring these elements together in a faster, modern system. Key responsibilities in this role will also include, but not be limited to, translating business requirements into functional and scalable web applications using Kotlin, React, or Java. The Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code following best practices and coding standards. They will utilize GCP services and tools, such as Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and BigTable, to process and analyze large volumes of data. Ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and security of the applications is crucial. The role also involves identifying and troubleshooting issues and bugs, providing solutions, and collaborating with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders in an agile environment. Continuous research and learning of new technologies and frameworks as needed is also expected.
