About the position

As a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer at VAA, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing mechanical systems that support various infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical utility systems, contributing to the success of clients across multiple sectors, including agribusiness and industrial facilities. You will leverage your engineering expertise to solve complex problems and ensure the effective operation of essential systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering analysis and apply judgment in mechanical system design.
• Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical utility systems.
• Perform HVAC load calculations, pump sizing, and related engineering calculations.
• Utilize engineering software such as CHVAC Elite, Trane, Tracer, and AFT Fathom for system design.
• Select appropriate mechanical systems in coordination with vendors.
• Collaborate with facility owners, architects, and contractors to achieve project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Five to seven years of engineering experience in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical utility systems design and construction.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Proficiency in engineering software for HVAC and plumbing design.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Revit.
