About the position

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level PHP Developer with over 5 years of industry experience to join our dynamic team at IQ Ventures in Dublin, Ohio. This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for building scalable PHP applications and solving complex problems independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using PHP, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements. In this position, you will be expected to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and security. Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code is essential, as is the ability to identify and resolve issues independently. Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies will be crucial to improving our development practices and ensuring the success of our projects. This is an on-site position located in our Dublin, Ohio office, where you will work closely with other developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and security.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to improve our development practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in PHP development.
• Extensive knowledge of building, deploying, and debugging PHP applications.
• Solid understanding of MVC frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
• Proficiency with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and writing efficient SQL queries.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of GoLang is a plus.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
