About the position

Ice Miller is seeking a mid-level Privacy Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join their Data, Security, and Privacy practice area. The role focuses on technology, privacy, and cybersecurity compliance, particularly in data breach response. The associate will handle technology transactions, cybersecurity risk management, privacy program management, and compliance counseling, with the possibility of working from the Indianapolis, Columbus, or Chicago offices on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients on IT, technology, privacy, and compliance matters.
• Manage compliance with U.S. and international regulations including CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, GLBA, LGPD, and GDPR.
• Develop compliance programs related to privacy and cybersecurity.
• Work on incident response or data breaches.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups and offices.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in technology, privacy, and cybersecurity compliance.
• Experience with U.S. and international privacy regulations.
• Experience in various industries such as financial services, insurance, manufacturing, and IT.
• Experience in healthcare is a plus.
• Ability to take ownership of projects and tasks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong law school credentials and references.
