About the position

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Mid-level Process Mechanical (PrM) Engineer to join our team. This position allows you to work from any of our offices located in Corvallis, OR, Bellevue, WA, or Boise, ID. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on projects that provide innovative solutions to our municipal clients' water and wastewater challenges both locally and globally. In this role, you will be responsible for designing piping and pumping systems, as well as providing oversight of construction for a variety of municipal and industrial clients and projects. Your duties will include evaluating and selecting equipment, piping materials, and valves, assisting with facility layouts, developing calculations, P&IDs, and construction documents. You will also coordinate with other project disciplines and direct the work of CAD technicians. Utilizing your leadership skills, you will be part of a team engaged in delivering some of the most exciting projects in the Western United States and beyond. Responsibilities

  • Design piping and pumping systems for municipal and industrial clients.
  • Provide oversight of construction projects.
  • Evaluate and select equipment, piping materials, and valves.
  • Assist with facility layouts and develop calculations, P&IDs, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with other project disciplines and direct the work of CAD technicians.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between the project owner and design team.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Strong interest in mechanical system design and operation.
  • Active professional engineering (PE) license.
  • Experience with Industrial and National Building Codes.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, including giving and receiving critical feedback.
  • Experience working with remote domestic and international staff.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive process mechanical engineering and project delivery experience with water, wastewater, and/or industrial treatment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems.
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (AFT Fathom, Pipe-Flo).
  • Experience with Quality Control reviews.
  • Desire for personal and team growth.
  • Ability to serve as the technical liaison between the project owner and design team.
  • Desire to mentor junior staff.
