About the position

Odyssey House is seeking a Mid-Level Provider (PA/NP) specializing in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and behavioral health services. This role is integral to the Admissions team, focusing on empowering individuals through effective substance abuse treatment and mental health services. The provider will conduct intake assessments, prescribe MAT, and collaborate closely with treatment teams to ensure personalized care for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Screen and evaluate clients for physical and behavioral health needs, including substance use and withdrawal potential.
  • Assign triage levels (Green, Yellow, Red) to prioritize care and facilitate immediate intervention when necessary.
  • Prescribe MAT, including Suboxone, and other psychiatric medications as needed.
  • Perform Suboxone inductions for opioid-naïve clients or others in active withdrawal.
  • Collaborate with intake staff, medical clinic staff, and treatment teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain comprehensive client records, including social and medical histories.
  • Educate clients on treatment options and ensure timely follow-up with the Martindale Clinic for ongoing care.
  • Complete required documentation and quality assurance activities to meet licensing, credentialing, and accreditation standards.
  • Report incidents and maintain open, prompt communication with staff and clients, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Review incoming hospital records to determine eligibility for services.
  • Serve as the internal expert at intake and be available for consultation with staff.
  • Attend clinic meetings, contributing to a supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited PA/NP program with a current state license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in MAT/behavioral health; experience with opioid-naïve inductions preferred.
