About the position

The Mid-Level Software Developer position at Computer Technologies Consultants, Inc. (CTC) involves supporting the Intelligence Community in Laurel, MD. This role is part of a prime contract that extends through 2026, focusing on the lifecycle sustainment and modernization of critical government applications. The developer will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a diverse team to enhance software functionality and address user-reported issues, utilizing various technologies including C#, AWS, and SQL Server.

Responsibilities

  • Support lifecycle sustainment and modernization activities for education and training applications.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in the products and technologies used.
  • Independently identify and address issues with limited guidance.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing tasks and project status.
  • Utilize technologies such as C#, AWS, .NET, SQL Server, and Git to improve system functionality.
  • Debug existing software to identify and resolve defects.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot user-reported problems.
  • Conduct software upgrades to maintain up-to-date systems.
  • Document changes and solutions for future reference.
  • Perform testing and quality checks on software modifications.
  • Utilize Jira for issue tracking and Confluence for documentation.
  • Engage in agile development methodologies for efficient software delivery.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in software development, or ten years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with programming languages outside of a classroom setting.
  • Willingness to embrace challenges and seek expertise in products.
  • Experience developing and updating technical documentation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing systems hosted in virtual environments such as AWS.
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Confluence & Jira.
  • Experience with learning management systems like Blackboard or SumTotal.
  • Experience collaborating closely with government customers.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Database.
  • Experience with Razor/Blazor.
