About the position

The Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Mission Systems & Autonomy (MS&A) software capability is seeking Mid-Level Software Engineers to create software for next-generation disruptive systems and technologies. This role involves collaboration with a product team focused on the design, development, and maintenance of software that meets industry standards, contributing to various aerospace and defense projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle.
• Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for systems integrations.
• Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interface, and design for software products.
• Collaborate with scientists, researchers, and engineers on technologies including AI/ML, Cybersecurity, and more.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience designing and developing software for real-time or non-real-time systems.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, JavaScript.
• Experience with configuration management and collaboration tools like Git, JIRA, etc.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience designing and developing software for real-time or non-real-time systems.
• Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with Poly.
• Experience automating software builds and tests using a DevOps tool chain.
