About the position

The Mid-Level Technical Recruiter (STEM) position is a contract role focused on supporting the recruitment processes for the Data & Technology organization. The recruiter will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting for technical positions within STEM fields, ensuring a positive experience for candidates and hiring managers. This role requires proactive sourcing, managing candidate pipelines, and providing recommendations to improve recruiting effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full cycle recruiting for technical positions in the STEM teams, managing an average requisition load of approximately 15-20 opportunities.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with potential candidates to ensure a strong talent pipeline.
  • Manage candidate pipelines and campaigns, including proactive sourcing and promoting the employee referral program.
  • Understand internal talent and anticipate future hiring needs based on skill gaps.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Data & Technology department to identify key responsibilities and skill requirements for each position.
  • Guide candidates through the recruiting process, including technical preemployment assessments and immigration intakes.
  • Communicate proactively and transparently with stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of recruiting plans.
  • Provide recommendations and best practices to improve recruiting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and employment laws regarding recruiting and hiring practices.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the Data & Technology department, engaging candidates with opportunities.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience as a Technical Recruiter, providing full cycle recruiting for Data and Technology roles.
  • Experience in-house or at an agency, preferably in technology organizations.
  • Proficient in proactive sourcing techniques using platforms like GitHub, Stack Overflow, and Google Xray.
  • 2+ years of experience recruiting technical talent, including knowledge of immigration regulations and technical assessments.
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing tools such as Seek Out, LinkedIn Recruiter, and ATS/CRM systems.
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with hiring teams, candidates, and internal HR teams.
  • Understanding of the competitive talent landscape and effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of leveraging the full talent pipeline, including university hiring and internal mobility programs.
