As a Mid Market Account Executive focused on Portfolio Companies at Carta, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how private companies, their investors, and employees manage ownership. In this position, you will own the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to closing deals. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue through outbound prospecting into private equity-backed portfolio companies. You will collaborate with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and business development teams while also working independently to identify and engage potential clients. Understanding customer needs and acting as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and private equity investors will be crucial to your success. You will communicate the business impact of Carta's product offerings to key decision-makers, ensuring they recognize the value of our solutions. You will be part of a small but dynamic team within the Private Equity sales unit, working strategically to expand Carta's presence beyond the traditional venture capital ecosystem into the broader private equity landscape. Your efforts will help propel Carta to new heights by introducing our best-in-class software platform to one of the largest private asset classes in the world. You will be responsible for building relationships with sophisticated partners in the private equity investment space, helping them streamline equity management, maintain compliance, and unlock liquidity in private markets. This role requires a proactive approach, a passion for understanding products in-depth, and the ability to communicate their value effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
