As a Mid-Market Sales Engineer II at Spectrum Enterprise, you will play a crucial role in delivering detailed evaluations of client networks and recommending tailored solutions to meet their business needs. This position is designed for individuals who are ready to support sales teams through both pre-sale activities and post-sale technical consultations. You will support the sales cycle by presenting products and proposals to both new and existing enterprise accounts, ensuring that clients receive the best possible service and solutions. Your responsibilities will include consulting with clients and sales teams to craft cost-effective proposals, designing solutions for client applications, and preparing network topologies and technical specifications. You will also be responsible for submitting client network solution designs and forecasting project cost elements. Collaboration with sales teams on solution pricing and the submission of Internal Rate of Return (IRR) will be essential, as will reviewing proposal solutions and creating technical presentations. Additionally, you will support the integration and implementation of solutions by providing answers to sales support inquiries. Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed evaluations of client networks and recommend solutions for their business needs.
  • Support sales teams with pre-sale activities and post-sale technical consultations.
  • Consult with clients and Sales teams to craft cost-effective proposals.
  • Design solutions for client applications, including preparation of network topologies and technical specifications.
  • Prepare and submit client network solution designs and forecast project cost elements.
  • Partner with Sales teams on solution pricing and submission of an IRR.
  • Review proposal solutions and create technical presentations.
  • Support the integration and implementation of solutions by answering questions for sales support.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of telecommunications sales engineering experience.
  • CCDA, CCNA, CCNP, CCDP or MEF-CECP certification.
  • Understanding of DPL, EVPL, ELAN, LAN and WAN.
  • Familiarity with fundamentals related to routers, switches, MAN DS3, OC-x, CSU, DSU and other CPE.
  • Knowledge of DNS, TCP, IP, VPNs and data security methods.
  • Experience with voice networking.
  • Adept with MPLS, VPLS, VoIP, SONET and DWDM.
  • Expert in routing protocols.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong presentation and English communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct a consultative analysis and provide recommendations.
