About the position

As a Mid Security Data Loss Prevention Engineer at IBM, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring compliance with federal security requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to integrate Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions effectively within the organization's infrastructure, leveraging your knowledge of network and endpoint security concepts. You will be expected to respond promptly to DLP incidents, investigate data breaches, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. This role requires strong collaboration and communication skills, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and compliance departments, to ensure a cohesive approach to data protection. In addition to incident response, you will need to stay updated with the latest DLP technologies and security trends, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning. Your analytical thinking and problem-solving skills will be essential in analyzing complex DLP issues and devising innovative solutions that align with the organization's security framework. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing DLP policies and controls that meet federal security requirements, ensuring the protection of sensitive information across cloud-based and hybrid environments. Responsibilities

  • Integrate DLP solutions within the organization's infrastructure.
  • Respond to DLP incidents and investigate data breaches.
  • Implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, security, and compliance departments.
  • Stay updated with the latest DLP technologies and security trends.
  • Analyze complex DLP issues and devise innovative solutions.
  • Design and implement DLP policies and controls to meet federal security requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of ForcePoint DLP Engineering / administration experience.
  • 3+ years of management of ForcePoint within a Federal environment.
  • Understanding of enterprise environments, specifically cloud-based and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience with designing and implementing DLP policies and controls to meet federal security requirements.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, & NIST.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting, analysis, and technical expertise to resolve incidents and/or service requests.
  • Strong written communication skills to articulate technical security analysis to a non-technical audience.
  • DoD Approved 8570 certification REQUIRED CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding and experience with Federal Security Standards such as NIST and DoD.
  • Understanding and experience with FedRAMP Cloud Security Requirements.
