About the position

SimVentions is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Software Developer to join our team in Dahlgren, Virginia. This role involves providing software engineering in an Agile development environment, focusing on integrating AI/ML-driven scenario evaluation into various weapons systems. The developer will work collaboratively within a team to design, develop, and integrate AI/ML models using Python, while also supporting the system development lifecycle and maintaining software documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate AI/ML models utilizing Python in the NVIDIA Holoscan environment.
• Create, maintain, and update software documentation.
• Assist in running virtual and live test events with team members.
• Integrate various technologies and systems into Holoscan pipelines.
• Support all aspects of the system development lifecycle, including analysis, requirements definition, design, coding, development, unit testing, and maintenance.

Requirements

• United States Citizenship is required.
• At least 8 years of development experience.
• At least 3 years of Python development experience.
• Ability to document software source code, specifications, and manuals clearly and accurately.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate constructively with government and contractor personnel.
• Ability to thrive in a flexible and dynamic work environment.
• Willingness to teach and mentor junior developers.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AI/ML model training and integration.
• Experience with computer vision.
• Familiarity with Git, GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
• Willingness to travel to support test events in the field.
• Comfortable working on a team and interfacing with outside entities.
