About the position

The Mid/Senior Mechanical Engineer position at Enercon Services Inc is focused on supporting the Nuclear Services Group by preparing engineering documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining strong client relationships. The role involves both individual contributions and teamwork, with opportunities for client site assignments. Candidates can apply for full-time, part-time, or contract positions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare error-free engineering documents (e.g., drawings, sketches, instructions, inputs, calculations, analyses, evaluations) according to industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Generate engineering related documents in accordance with client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements, adhering to procedures and specifications.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of industry codes and standards, safety culture, and design techniques.
  • Provide peer and technical reviews of engineering designs and documentation produced by others.
  • Produce high quality engineering deliverables consistent with project work scopes and client expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through professional interactions and quality engineering products.
  • Consult with other disciplines to ensure designs are compatible with all disciplinary requirements.
  • Travel to plant sites to interface with client personnel and perform walk downs of plant structures, systems, and components.
  • Review/manage project schedules and resources to ensure products are developed and projects remain within budget.
  • Serve as the Responsible Engineer (RE) and/or Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE) on projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
  • Mid-Level: 3 years of prior experience in nuclear or power generation design of mechanical systems.
  • Senior-Level: 7 years of prior experience in nuclear or power generation design of mechanical systems.
  • Thermal-hydraulic and design modification experience desired.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of mechanical calculations.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Good writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.

  • Experience with client site assignments lasting several months.
