About the position

As a Middle Market Banking Credit Analyst l, you will underwrite loan presentations ensuring the overall success and growth of an assigned portfolio, including originations, annual reviews, amendments, risk rating assessments, financial spreads, financial modeling, among other duties. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including preparing financial models for use in underwriting, supporting the management of profitable client relationships and work with other areas in the Bank including Credit, Loan Operations and Executive Management, and understanding and critically analyzing borrower financial statements using accounting and finance skills on a daily basis. Additionally, Middle Market Banking Analyst l are expected to assist relationship managers with management of an existing portfolio of clients and monitor client relationship for compliance with credit standards through monthly portfolio monitoring, maintain a very high level of credit quality within the portfolio, participate in community and business functions to ensure a positive image for the bank within the regions marketplace, build a great rapport with clients and fellow associates, and treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6 months of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in accounting or finance and/or certification in the field.
  • Experience in a specialized segment of financial services (i.e. Energy, Food & Agribusiness, Asset Based Lending, Government & Nonprofit).
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in commercial banking.
  • Completed formal credit training program.
