About the position

The Middle Office Analyst, Capital Markets position at Genesis10 is a six-month contract role based in Charlotte, NC, with a hybrid work schedule allowing for approximately 40% remote work. The analyst will be responsible for supporting trade position validation, collateral margin calls, and process improvements within the capital markets sector. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various internal departments and external counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Compare trade position files from external counter-parties
• Perform trade dispositions to validate current mark-to-market exposures
• Review and present collateral margin calls and respond to demands submitted by counterparties
• Work with internal departments to resolve all discrepancies
• Produce and distribute ad-hoc reporting requirements to clients
• Consistently seek opportunities to improve processes, controls, and procedures
• Partner with the project team to develop requirements for system enhancements and assist with user acceptance testing

Requirements

• 1 year of capital markets industry or similar experience
• Derivative trading experience and Series 7 license
• Strong customer service skills
• Proficiency in Excel and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of loan, securities, and derivative products
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Macros, V-Lookups, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
