About the position
The Middle School Behavior Intervention Specialist - PBIS Coordinator is responsible for implementing and overseeing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) within Dundee Middle School. This role focuses on promoting positive behavior among students, providing support to staff, and ensuring a conducive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee PBIS strategies and programs at the middle school level.
- Provide training and support to teachers and staff on behavior intervention techniques.
- Monitor student behavior and provide interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administration to develop behavior plans for students.
- Collect and analyze data related to student behavior and program effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with middle school students in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of PBIS and behavior intervention strategies.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Certification in behavior analysis or a related area.
