About the position
The Middle School ELA Teacher at North Carolina Cyber Academy is responsible for delivering engaging English Language Arts instruction to middle school students in a hybrid learning environment. This role involves participating in professional development, maintaining communication with students and families, and adhering to state educational standards.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Professional Learning Communities
- Adhere to the NC Standard Course of Study
- Implement engaging instructional strategies
- Participate in professional development activities both virtually and in person
- Maintain open communication with students, families, and colleagues
- Complete reports on time including progress reports, report cards, benchmark test results and analysis, attendance, and engagement
- Participate in the NC Educator Effectiveness System (NCEES)
- If applicable, participate in the Beginning Teacher Support Program
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (Required)
- North Carolina Professional Educator's License (Required)
- 1 year of teaching experience (Preferred)
