About the position
The position involves providing rigorous lessons that are aligned with the Common Core Standards and Massachusetts State Frameworks. The goal is to promote independent thinking, creative problem solving, and intellectual curiosity among all students. The educator will be responsible for planning and implementing instruction that ensures all students meet and exceed the established standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement instruction to ensure that all students meet and exceed Common Core Standards and State Frameworks
- Use data to inform instruction, track student progress, and evaluate personal performance through self-evaluation and goal setting
- Deliver engaging, targeted instruction that meets MA DESE and Common Core Standards for the level and subject taught
- Differentiate services and instruction to meet a variety of student learning needs and strengths
- Maintain active communication with students' families to support their learning and provide consistent updates about their children's academic and social progress
- Assess student performance using formal, summative, and portfolio assessments to drive instruction
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal
