About the position

The Teacher at Florida Cyber Charter Academy (FLCCA) is a highly qualified, state-certified educator responsible for delivering course content in an online environment. This role focuses on providing personalized instruction, support, and guidance to students while managing their learning processes. Teachers work closely with students and their families to ensure academic success and monitor progress through the learning management system. The position requires occasional travel for school functions, such as state testing, while primarily allowing for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Provides rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
• Commits to personalizing learning for all students
• Demonstrates a belief in all students' ability to succeed and meet high expectations
• Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery
• Maintains grade book ensuring student academic integrity and alerts administrators to concerns about student performance
• Prepares students for high stakes standardized tests
• Establishes and maintains positive rapport with families and communicates regularly with students and learning coaches
• Supports learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues in a virtual classroom environment
• Travels as required for professional development and student testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license
• Ability to clear required background check
