About the position

The Middle School Humanities Teacher position at Learnwell Collective involves teaching one middle school history class and one 8th grade English/Language Arts class on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This part-time role is designed for educators who are passionate about providing a high-quality education in a collaborative and supportive environment, emphasizing mastery in lessons and personalized teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Teach one middle school history class and one 8th grade English/Language Arts class on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
• Develop and share a 4-day/week lesson plan with parents or students.
• Provide qualitative progress reports for students in grades K-7.
• Collaborate with parents and the Learnwell team to enhance the educational experience.
• Adapt lesson plans as needed to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Participate in the Learnwell REACH program to provide academic enrichment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Required).
• Valid Teaching Certification (Preferred).
• 3 years of classroom experience (Required).
• 1 year of homeschooling experience (Preferred).
• Expertise in best practices for the grade levels taught.
