About the position

The Middle School Instructional Aide at Beta Academy plays a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher by monitoring the learning center and facilitating students' learning progress. This full-time position emphasizes fostering a love for learning, promoting character traits, and ensuring a safe and educational environment for students.

Responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher in daily activities and lesson implementation.
• Foster a love of learning and celebrate student successes.
• Model and promote character traits to students and uphold a zero-tolerance policy for bullying.
• Implement technology and software programs provided by the academy.
• Monitor and assess students' daily work for neatness and mastery of instructional goals.
• Supervise students during various activities including recess and lunch, ensuring adherence to school rules.
• Manage student discipline across all areas of the school.
• Maintain a clean and orderly educational environment.
• Collaborate with team members on various responsibilities such as cafeteria duty and filing.
• Perform daily uniform checks and ensure students follow appearance guidelines.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as making copies and maintaining student folders.

Requirements

• Ability to work with children and a passion for learning.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with and teaching children is preferred.

Benefits

• Hourly compensation ranging from $13.50 to $15.00 based on experience and education.
