About the position

The Teacher at Carolus Online Academy (COA) is a highly qualified, state-certified educator responsible for delivering course content in an online environment. This role involves providing instruction, support, and guidance to students while managing their learning processes and focusing on individual needs. Teachers monitor student progress through Stride K12's learning management system and work closely with students and parents to achieve established learning goals. The position requires occasional travel for school functions, such as state testing, while primarily working from home.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment.
• Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
• Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery.
• Maintain grade book ensuring student academic integrity and make placement decisions.
• Prepare students for high stakes standardized tests.
• Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and communicate regularly with students and learning coaches.
• Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues in a virtual classroom environment.
• Travel as required for professional development and student testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license
• Ability to clear required background check
