About the position

The position is for a temporary, contract Art Teacher at Digital Academy of Florida (DAOF), responsible for delivering online course content and supporting students' individual learning needs. The teacher will work closely with students and their families, monitor progress, and provide guidance in a virtual environment. This role requires a commitment to personalized learning and maintaining a professional home office while working independently for approximately 40+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provides rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
• Commits to personalizing learning for all students
• Demonstrates a belief in all students' ability to succeed and meet high expectations
• Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery
• Maintains grade book ensuring student academic integrity and alerts administrators to concerns about student performance
• Prepares students for high stakes standardized tests
• Establishes and maintains positive rapport with families and communicates regularly with students and learning coaches
• Supports learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues in a virtual classroom environment
• Travels as required for professional development and student testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license
• Ability to clear required background check
