About the position
The Middle School Teacher position at Prep Academy Tutors involves providing personalized academic support to students in a flexible and engaging manner. The role focuses on delivering tailored tutoring programs that cater to the individual needs of students from kindergarten to grade 12, ensuring they understand the material and progress in their studies.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the state curriculum.
- Deliver supplemental assignments to enhance students' understanding of the material.
- Offer remedial and enrichment support for students.
- Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress.
- Customize tutoring approaches to meet the individual needs of each student.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- A valid California State teaching certificate or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher for two or more years is required.
- Experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College is acceptable.
- Master's/PhD students with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College are eligible.
