The Middle School Tutor position at Prep Academy Tutors involves providing personalized academic support to students in San Diego, California. Tutors will communicate with parents or guardians about student progress and provide both remedial and enrichment support.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the state curriculum.
• Deliver supplemental assignments to enhance students' understanding of the material.
• Offer remedial and enrichment support tailored to individual student needs.
• Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress.
• Customize tutoring approaches to meet the diverse learning styles of students.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.
• Valid California State teaching certificate or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher for two or more years is acceptable.
• Experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College is acceptable.
• Master's/PhD students with teaching assistant experience at an accredited U.S. University or College are eligible.
