Responsibilities

• Assist in Building Response team using Non-Violent Crisis Intervention techniques to physically support students.
• Implement differentiated instruction to meet the needs of a wide range of students.
• Communicate effectively to form partnerships with families.
• Reflect on teaching practices and adjust instruction based on formative assessment data.

Requirements

• Valid Wisconsin teaching certificate in Special Education.
• Minimum grade point average of 2.75 in a 4.0 grading system in degree coursework.
• Commitment to social justice and culturally and linguistically responsive practices.
• Ability to embed differentiation in daily instruction.
• Commitment to collaboration and reflection within a school community.
• Commitment to continued development of cultural competence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with families.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are strongly preferred.
• 1 year of teaching experience (preferred).
• Special Education Teaching Certification (preferred).
