About the position

The Middleware Administrator role focuses on providing administrative support for IBM MQ and IBM Integration Bus (IIB) platforms, ensuring their operational health. The position requires strong Linux skills and involves troubleshooting, diagnosing technical issues, and assisting in upgrades and installations. The candidate will also participate in an on-call rotation for 24x7 support and may work in areas outside of MQ and IIB.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for IBM MQ, IBM IIB, and Middleware platforms.
• Ensure platform operational health for IBM MQ v9 and IBM ACE v12.
• Assist in planning and executing MQ and IIB upgrades, including installing FixPacks and iFixes.
• Handle Middleware support requests (MTS).
• Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 support.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues for resolution.
• Be open to working in areas outside of MQ and IIB.

Requirements

• Experience with IBM MQ and IBM IIB, including creating resources and monitoring/troubleshooting.
• Strong Linux skills, including scripting and working on Linux OS.
• Strong communication skills for customer engagement with development and TechOps support teams.

• Experience with IBM MQ v9 and IBM ACE v12.
