About the position

The Middleware Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Accenture is responsible for providing expert-level support and administration for various middleware technologies across multiple cloud platforms. This role involves acting as the primary interface between clients and the systems, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining effective communication to resolve client issues. The position requires a strong technical background in middleware technologies and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application.
• Provide L2/L3 administration support for JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, MQ, WebSphere Application Server, WebLogic, and Microsoft IIS.
• Work as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist the team with technical issues.
• Regularly interact with clients and provide summaries/reports of issues and achievements.
• Ensure zero surprise escalations from clients by keeping local management informed of potential issues.
• Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Participate in 24x7 shift rotations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience with JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, MQ, WebLogic, and WebSphere.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of ITIL standards and best practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with IIS, WebSphere Application Server, Azure, AWS, GCP, and IBM MQ.
• Bachelor's Degree.
