About the position

The Midmarket Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Virtuous plays a crucial role in driving the company's mission to inspire global generosity by engaging with nonprofit organizations. This position focuses on account development, facilitating qualifying calls, and executing outreach strategies to generate a robust sales pipeline. The SDR will work closely with marketing and sales teams to design personalized outreach efforts and ensure a seamless transition of qualified leads to Account Executives. The role emphasizes relationship-building, strategic outreach, and effective communication to support the growth of Virtuous's nonprofit client base.

Responsibilities

  • Field inbound sales leads including demo requests and brand event leads.
  • Maintain a high volume of outbound outreach activities to multiple stakeholders within assigned nonprofit organizations.
  • Use strategy and creativity to reach key decision makers within target accounts.
  • Facilitate qualifying calls and conduct ROI evaluations with high-level decision makers.
  • Manage an accurate sales process within HubSpot, ensuring data hygiene and documentation of interactions.
  • Become an expert in responsive fundraising to ask insightful questions and understand organizational needs.
  • Meet quarterly quotas through proactive growth strategies and feedback implementation.
  • Collaborate with account executives to move quality leads through deal stages efficiently.
  • Source target accounts for marketing activities and manage promotional efforts surrounding these activities.
  • Attend relevant trade shows and events, providing detailed reports on marketing activities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sales or marketing experience, preferably within nonprofit organizations.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot CRM.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in the B2B tech industry is preferred.
  • Understanding of CRM functionality and customer/donor relationship management.
  • Knowledge of the nonprofit sector, fundraising, and donor relationship management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Highly organized self-starter with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent time-management and prioritization skills.
