About the position

As a Market Segment Manager, you will be responsible for establishing the market segment strategy and tactical action plan for the Midstream Oil & Gas Market segment in the United States and Canada. This role focuses on enhancing brand awareness, increasing market share among top-tier Midstream accounts, and providing market intelligence on trends and product performance. You will work remotely, preferably from Texas, Louisiana, or Oklahoma, and report to the Market Segment Director.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve budgeted sales plan for the market segment.
  • Achieve budgeted profit plan for the market segment.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with key owners and customers in the market segment.
  • Work cross-functionally to support necessary/target projects.
  • Develop marketing collateral to create awareness and consideration of the PPG Brand in the market segment.
  • Develop internal training for the commercial sales team to drive core competencies that will secure share of wallet gains and new customers.
  • Provide demand forecasting to support supply chain and production planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma.
  • Preferred bachelor's degree or higher in a Business or Technical Field.
  • 5+ years' experience in B2B selling in the Oil & Gas Market Segment.
  • NACE CIP Level II or Greater or SSPC PCS certified.
  • Strong technical skills with Tank Linings, CUI, High-Performance Coatings, and Hydrocarbon Passive Fire Protection.
  • Valid Driver's License.
