About the position

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) role at Ingersoll Rand is focused on driving sales growth and business development for air treatment solutions across the Midwest region. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic sales management to enhance market presence, establish distributor relationships, and achieve revenue targets. The RSM will work closely with channel partners and internal teams to optimize sales strategies and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve targets and expand market presence in the Midwest region.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee the Distribution/Channel Partner network, acting as the primary contact for distributors and guiding their sales and service activities.
• Identify, recruit, and mentor new and existing channel partners to enhance their sales capabilities.
• Monitor sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate progress and refine strategies.
• Collaborate with ITS Support teams, Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Product Management to optimize pricing and product launches.
• Maintain an active opportunity pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Build strong customer relationships and represent market needs to leadership.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience using data to drive distributor behavior and success.
• Understanding of principles of air compression and/or air treatment applications.
• Knowledge of commercial terms including payment terms, receivables, and shipping terms.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or business with 7+ years of industrial sales experience through distribution.
• Experience with air compressors and/or air dryers.
