About the position

The Midwest Territory Sales Manager is responsible for executing Hanger's sales strategies and achieving revenue goals in the Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky regions. This role involves extensive travel (80%) to engage with existing and potential customers, providing consultative selling and ongoing service to ensure high customer satisfaction. The position requires building and maintaining relationships with clients and medical professionals, conducting presentations, and increasing sales in assigned accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Execute sales strategy and initiate contact with existing and potential customers.
  • Identify customer needs and sell appropriate products through consultative selling strategies.
  • Provide ongoing service and maintenance of new and existing accounts for DME inventory.
  • Conduct on-site presentations and training to educate and inform clients.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with therapy and facility staff, medical professionals, and client management teams.
  • Serve as a direct representative to client facilities and the medical community.
  • Keep account manager informed of account status and opportunities for expanded business.
  • Increase sales in assigned existing accounts and new accounts in the defined region.
  • Plan and execute account strategies and territory planning to meet sales targets.
  • Assist with the planning of sales exhibits and attend tradeshows.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license and a driving record within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy standards.
  • Documented success in leveraging added value concepts to keep top customers informed.
  • Proven ability to develop long-term relationships with top customers to increase sales revenues.
  • Experience in leveraging physician relationships to build competitive barriers.
  • Proven success in preparing sales presentations and sales literature.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the orthotic and prosthetic industry.
  • Familiarity with consultative selling techniques.
  • Ability to innovate new solutions and respond to change.
