About the position
The Nurse Midwife at the Center for Women's Health and Wellness provides PRN support, focusing on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of health issues for individuals, families, and communities. This role emphasizes leadership, innovation, and excellence in nursing practice, while also incorporating education, consultation, and research into patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for complex health issues.
- Serve as a leader and innovator in nursing practice.
- Educate patients and families about health and wellness.
- Consult with healthcare teams to improve patient care.
- Conduct research and incorporate evidence-based practices into care.
Requirements
- Completion of undergraduate and graduate nursing education from an accredited school of nursing at the master's or doctoral level in Midwifery.
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Ohio Certificate of Authority as a Nurse Midwife as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- National Certification as a Nurse Midwife.
- Current CPR certification.
- Five years of clinical experience, with three years in the area of specialty preferred.
