About the position

Ultimate LLC is seeking experienced MIG Welders for commercial projects in Shawnee, Kansas. The role involves working on various welding tasks, ensuring quality craftsmanship, and adhering to safety standards. Welders will be expected to work 45 to 50 hours a week, with weekly pay provided without any delay.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly.
• Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
• Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures if needed.
• Select torch, torch tip, filler rod, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
• Manually guide electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead.
• Create quality welds according to blueprints and inspect welds for accuracy.
• Repair broken or cracked parts.
• Move parts in and move finished product to conveyor belt.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leader.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Welding experience
• 18+ years of age
• Ability to perform regular standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting of up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Math, problem solving, and construction skills
