About the position

The Military Analyst SME (Technical Writer) position at Optimal Solutions & Technologies (OST, Inc.) involves supporting the execution of the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) in accordance with military regulations. The role focuses on documenting and processing warfighting concepts and operational capabilities, assessing gaps in military capabilities, and recommending solutions for integration and development of capability documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS).
• Document and process warfighting concepts and future operational capabilities.
• Assess concepts to identify gaps in required capabilities.
• Make recommendations for the integration of DOTMLPF solutions.
• Develop and manage JCIDS capability documents.

Requirements

• Technical Writing skills.
• Knowledge of military doctrine and tactics.
• Understanding of the military logistics process.
• Familiarity with deployment and employment of military combat systems.
• Knowledge of acquisition products and training support materials.
• Understanding of military command relationships and operating procedures.
• Knowledge of Training Aids, Devices, Simulation and Simulators (TADSS).
• Familiarity with the Joint planning process.
• Experience in developing live, virtual, and constructive training.
• Extensive knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and procedures.
• Ability to evaluate current programs for operational user training requirements.
• Ability to assess fielded programs for cost-effective technical upgrades.
• Ability to develop metrics for assessing the value of PEO STRI products.
