About the position

As a VCG Fraud Strategy Sr. Analyst at Verizon, you will play a crucial role in assessing and mitigating fraud risks related to customer authentication and equipment purchases. This position is designed for military personnel participating in the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program. You will become a subject matter expert in fraud prevention and detection, working collaboratively with various teams to enhance the customer experience while reducing fraud risks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in evaluating complex initiatives to understand and mitigate potential fraud risks.
• Conduct research, risk analysis, and agile solution design and recommendations.
• Develop and implement key risk mitigation solutions that span multiple channels.
• Support multiple sales, marketing, and experience work streams, collaborating with other teams for planning and standards development.
• Enhance the threat landscape while minimizing customer friction.
• Innovate across the Verizon journey to support an ecosystem of risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program.
• Bachelor's Degree or four years of relevant work experience.
• Two or more years of relevant work experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree or higher in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
• Industry certification such as CFE.
• Working knowledge of data analytics tools (Excel, Kibana, Qlik, Tableau, SQL).
• Two or more years of diverse experience in Fraud, Security, Finance Operations, Project Management, and Customer Experience.
• Advanced critical thinking skills and ability to work independently with limited guidance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
