About the position

The Military Fellowship - Sr. Analyst - Fraud Risk position at Verizon is designed for military personnel participating in the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program. The role focuses on assessing and mitigating fraud risks related to customer authentication and equipment purchases, requiring expertise in fraud strategy and collaboration with various teams to enhance risk mitigation solutions across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Become a subject matter expert in evaluating complex initiatives to understand and mitigate potential risks through research, risk analysis, and agile solution design.
• Develop and implement key risk mitigation solutions that span multiple channels.
• Support multiple, simultaneous sales, marketing, and experience work streams, collaborating with other teams for planning and standards development.
• Enhance the threat landscape while reducing customer friction and supporting an ecosystem of risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or of the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program.
• Bachelor's Degree or four years of work experience.
• Two or more years of relevant work experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree or higher in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
• Industry certification such as CFE.
• Working knowledge of data analytics tools (Excel, Kibana, Qlik, Tableau, SQL).
• Two or more years of diverse experience in Fraud, Security, Finance Operations, Project Management, and Customer Experience.
• Advanced critical thinking skills and ability to work independently with limited guidance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
