About The Position
The Military Funeral Honors State Coordinator position at Strategic Resources, Inc. (SRI) is a short-term, temporary role that requires individuals who have served or are currently serving in the military or have supported military operations in some capacity. This position is critical in providing dignified military funeral honors to eligible veterans and their families, ensuring that they receive the respect and recognition they deserve during their time of loss. The Army National Guard (ARNG) Military Funeral Honors program is dedicated to rendering professional honors in accordance with military traditions, and the State Coordinator will play a vital role in coordinating these efforts across the state. As a State Coordinator, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Military Funeral Honors functions and requirements. Your responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, and analyzing budgets for the Military Funeral Honors program, as well as maintaining access to and reviewing data related to veteran honors. You will be tasked with developing statewide operations for the program, drafting and advising on policies and standard operating procedures, and ensuring that all missions are tracked and recorded accurately in the Military Funeral Honors database. In addition to operational duties, the State Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting and retaining personnel to support Military Funeral Honors requests, overseeing training programs, and monitoring the performance of Honor Guard ceremonies. You will also be expected to establish and maintain relationships with various agencies, including casualty assistance centers and veteran service organizations, to ensure a seamless process for providing honors to veterans and service members. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to serving the military community with dignity and respect.
