About the position

ANSER is seeking a Military Installation (Department of Defense) Real Property Data Architect to support the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Infrastructure Modernization and Resilience in the Real Property program. This position is critical in analyzing Department of Defense (DoD) real property information and developing, implementing, and sustaining the logical and informational data models that drive real property systems. The work will be conducted at the Pentagon, Mark Center, and via telework, providing flexibility in the work environment. The Data Architect will engage in various duties, including the analysis of changes in DoD real property information and participation in the Business Information Technology Standards working group. This involves business process mapping and the creation and maintenance of architectural artifacts. The role requires the incorporation of both practical and theoretical real property experience into architecture and data standards for the Real Property Information Model (RPIM). The Data Architect will also promote the adoption of information and logic real property models based on new process reengineering efforts, technical updates, and functional updates. Additionally, support across the DoD's Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) portfolio is expected, along with assisting clients in adapting to customer needs and technology through stakeholder working groups.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Department of Defense (DoD) real property information changes.
  • Participate in the Business Information Technology Standards working group, including business process mapping.
  • Create and maintain architectural artifacts related to real property systems.
  • Incorporate practical and theoretical real property experience into architecture and data standards for the Real Property Information Model (RPIM).
  • Promote the adoption of information and logic real property models based on new process reengineering efforts, technical updates, and functional updates.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience at Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD)/Joint Staff/Interagency environment, or Higher Headquarters organization (e.g. Combatant Command (CCMD) equivalent or above).
  • Possess a working knowledge of the DoD real property programs.
  • Possess a working knowledge or willingness to learn ARIS Architect.
  • Possess a working knowledge of business process mapping.
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills supporting senior leaders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Military experience and established knowledge of DoD processes and procedures.
