About the position

Cortina Solutions, LLC is currently seeking a Senior IT Event Support Technician/Operations Planner to support the Pacific Warfighting Center (PWC) for the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AoR) located on Ford Island in Oahu, Hawaii. This position plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing exercise training events, ensuring that all technical and operational requirements are met for successful execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and managing event support and facility documentation, coordinating virtual collaboration, and maintaining relevant exercise support data on SharePoint. In this role, you will schedule In-Progress Review (IPR) meetings with all stakeholders, working closely with military, civilian, and contractor personnel to identify, verify, and track all event IT, COMMS, and System/Network requirements. You will also implement and manage access and badging processes for each exercise/event, ensuring compliance with appropriate OPSEC conditions at multiple levels. Additionally, you will develop and maintain event support and facility documentation/products, including event support plans, POAM slide decks, and requirement charts to track event technology, applications, and communication requirements. The position requires you to create and present the PWC Facility Brief for each event, compile and make available event daily agendas and schedules, and communicate with and lead/facilitate meetings with USINDOPACOM leadership and Action Officers/Planners, Component Command exercise planners, and Work Group Leads. You will also create and manage exercise and facility SharePoint sites and work with the Event Support team to produce event IMKM briefs. Managing virtual collaboration sessions using S-VTC, Global Video Services (GVS), TEAMS, Adobe Connect, and other applications will also be part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

  • BS degree with two (2) years of relevant experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledge of communication systems such as Microsoft TEAMS or Adobe Connect.
  • Experience establishing secret-video teleconference (VTC) meetings.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint or a similar large database system.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
