About the position

The Military Training Research Program Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating senior leadership within the subordinate division of the CIMT staff. This role involves interpreting Department of Defense (DoD) policies, managing training research and analysis, and providing comprehensive reports and recommendations to improve military training systems and programs. The position requires strong management skills and the ability to present findings to senior military and civilian officials.

Responsibilities

  • Directs, coordinates, and provides senior leadership to subordinate division, CIMT staff.
  • Initiates and recommends actions to reverse negative initial military training gaps or trends.
  • Interprets DoD and HQDA policies based on regulations, management principles, and ethics governing the conduct of work.
  • Performs the full range of management responsibilities including appointment employee selection boards, position management, and development of performance standards and performance appraisals.
  • Plans, conducts, reviews, processes, and approves systemic requirements analysis, studies, evaluations, and provides assistance to Army-wide training systems and programs.
  • Develops comprehensive reports of findings to ensure the best possible solutions, recommendations, advice, and assistance are provided to the Army.
  • Manages the development and execution of training research and analysis through management of the USACIMT Command Surgeon, Dietician, Research Physiologist, and ORSA office.
  • Presents briefings, information papers, and final correspondence, as appropriate of results evidencing detailed analysis and sound recommendations to senior military and civilian officials at all levels of the Army staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in education or a subject-matter field appropriate to the position.
  • One year of specialized experience developing and implementing program plans and policies to manage the operation of an organization.
  • Experience identifying problem areas, analyzing deviations from program goals, and recommending corrective action.
