About the position

The Millwork Assembler position at Boise Cascade involves the construction of custom doors and windows, ensuring adherence to product specifications and safety regulations. The role requires physical exertion in a warehouse environment and includes responsibilities such as operating machinery, managing inventory, and maintaining quality standards. The assembler will also have opportunities to train others and collaborate with management and sales teams to enhance customer understanding of the fabrication process.

Responsibilities

• Construct doors and windows made to order.
• Check product and raw material specifications (lengths, angles).
• Set up door machinery and equipment to specifications.
• Transport raw materials and finished products to and from machinery, equipment, and storage area.
• Load and unload inventory as needed.
• Apply and understand mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
• Manage and provide reports on production, quality, and order fulfillment process and performance.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
• Follow safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Train, assign, and oversee work of others to ensure completion to order specifications.
• Assist location manager and sales team in promoting and describing fabrication process to customers.
• Responsible for raw materials and finished goods inventory, materials order replenishment, and maintaining product pricing.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or two (2) years equivalent work experience.
• Ability to understand and communicate safety and work-related instructions.
• Alertness and ability to adapt to warehouse routines.

Nice-to-haves

• Typically more than three (3) years of experience in related job function.
• Technical certification or associate's degree may be required.
