The Millwork Assistant Operations Manager at Boise Cascade LLC is responsible for overseeing various operational functions including yard, warehouse, trucking, maintenance, and safety programs. This role focuses on managing order fulfillment, ensuring on-time delivery, and maintaining compliance with transportation regulations. The position emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the yard, warehouse, trucking, maintenance, and safety program functions.
• Oversee order fulfillment, will call, and on-time delivery functions including product selection, loading, and transportation.
• Resolve issues related to shipment or delivery of orders and manage order backlog.
• Negotiate carrier contracts and ensure compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
• Manage warehouse operations including receipt of products, inventory control, and storage design.
• Train, guide, and coach materials-handling personnel.
• Ensure a safe, OSHA compliant work environment in the warehouse and yard.
• Manage loss control activities including fire, theft, and fleet safety.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• College Degree or equivalent work experience in a related job function.
• Typically more than five (5) years of experience in a related job function.
