About the position

I&E Cabinets, Inc. is a well-established commercial architectural and high-end residential millwork company with over 42 years of experience in the Southern California area. We pride ourselves on our impeccable craftsmanship and commitment to customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking a dedicated Millwork/Cabinet Estimator to join our Drafting/Estimating group. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work on various construction projects while utilizing your skills in cost estimation, project management, and contract negotiation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and will be responsible for managing the complete project cycle, from bid takeoff to project completion. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative team environment and is motivated to bring in new projects and clients. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to continue their education and gain professional credentials, such as the Certified Millwork Professional (CMP).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for bid takeoff, incoming RFPs, RFQs via all sources.
  • Effectively budget, manage, and meet strict deadlines with multiple requests, submittals, and projects at any given time.
  • Field tasks include measurements, taking photos, meeting with counterparties, troubleshooting, and walkthroughs.
  • Work diligently with Senior management and team leaders on a complete project cycle.
  • Collaborate and build excellent relationships with partners, vendors, and contractors.
  • Learn and gain industry knowledge of new materials, trends, suppliers, and laws.

Requirements

  • Must have working experience with Cabinet Vision (minimum 3 years).
  • Must have working knowledge of processing Cabinet Vision drafts to Saw machine, CNC P2P machine (minimum 2-3 years).
  • Must have field experience in measuring, installation, and troubleshooting (minimum 3 years).
  • Working experience with AutoCAD is a plus (minimum 2 years).
  • Must have institutional bid takeoff, proposal preparation, drafting, and approving submittals experience.
  • Must have working knowledge of reading architectural blueprints, GC's, and legal contracts.
  • Excellent calculation of millwork/cabinet estimates and manufacturing knowledge.
  • Strongly focused, well-organized, and team-oriented personality in a fast-paced environment (in-person).
  • Exceptional communication, sales, and people skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in construction estimating for various types of projects.
  • Continuing education & qualification of Certified Millwork Professional (CMP) and other professional credentials.
