About The Position

The Millwork Material Handler at Boise Cascade is responsible for the construction of custom doors and windows, ensuring that products meet specified requirements. This role involves operating machinery, transporting materials, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a warehouse environment. The position also includes potential supervisory responsibilities and collaboration with management and sales teams.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or two (2) years equivalent work experience.
• Ability to understand and communicate safety and other work-related instructions.
• Experience in a warehouse operations environment with considerable physical exertion.

Nice To Haves

• Typically more than three (3) years of experience in a related job function.
• Technical certification or associate's degree may be required.

Responsibilities

• Construct doors and windows made to order.
• Check product and raw material specifications (lengths, angles).
• Set up door machinery and equipment to specifications.
• Transport raw materials and finished products to and from machinery, equipment, and storage area.
• Load and unload inventory as needed.
• Apply and understand mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
• Manage and provide reports on production, quality, and order fulfillment process and performance.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
• Follow safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Train, assign, and oversee work of others and ensure work is complete and built to order specifications.
• Assist location manager and sales team to promote and describe fabrication process to customers of assigned and new products.
• Responsible for raw materials and finished goods inventory, materials order replenishment, and maintaining product pricing.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
