The Production Millwright for an aluminum can manufacturing plant will trouble-shoot, repair, replace, maintain and install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical production related equipment within this high-speed metal packaging manufacturing facility. This position operates on a continuous schedule 24/7 with 12-hour shifts and includes a competitive salary and full benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Interest in building and repairing a variety of mechanical systems
- Knowledge of computerized machinery
- Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications
- Ability to visualize a layout by looking at plans
- Experience in conveyor systems and maintenance of systems
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts and maintain inventory and related documentation
- Provide support and education, working with users to identify needs, determine sources of problems, or to provide information on product use
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work to exacting standards
- Ability to get along with co-workers
- Ability to work at heights or in cramped spaces

- Mathematical and mechanical ability

Requirements
- Must have significant experience in operating production machines
- Related work experience or technical training/school or technical degrees may be substituted for the required work experience
- Ability to work a 12 hour shift which may include night shift and weekends
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
Nice-to-haves
- Three (3) plus years of experience industrial maintenance experience
- High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required)
