About the position
The Millwright/Plant Maintenance position at First Brands Group involves the fabrication, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of complex automation and mechanical equipment. The role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of the plant by performing preventive maintenance and reconditioning production machinery. The position requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all mechanical systems are functioning optimally.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, install, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of complex automation and mechanical equipment.
- Perform maintenance carpentry work.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, changeover, and make general repairs to industrial equipment.
- Perform assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks.
- Recondition and rebuild production equipment and machinery.
- Develop, install, and repair power transmission systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and ductwork.
- Install and repair mechanical automation components of all types.
- Rig and move equipment.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of Plant Maintenance experience or a Journeyman card.
- High School diploma or equivalent GED.
- Ability to lift material up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Physical capabilities including stretching, lifting, climbing, twisting, turning, standing, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending.
- Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dirt, solvents, and paper dust.
- Maintain a satisfactory record of attendance and conduct.
- Availability to work any shift and overtime as needed.
